Art is Magic by Jeremy Deller

As is often the case, UK Turner-prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller says it best.

He thinks of art as a way of staying in love with the world and when describing his own big beautiful hardback book he says:

“Art is Magic is by far my best book. It brings together many projects and art works from the last 30 years or so. It will bring you good luck and help you do sex better.” 

The book is a sort-of-monograph featuring his most well-known works, including his prints made with Fraser Muggeridge (also available in the RISING shop), video work Our Hobby is Depeche Mode, and performance pieces Acid Brass and 24 Hour Rock Show. Plus plenty more.

Deller signed copies of his book while in Melbourne for RISING 2024.
